The NEDA VI participated in the PhilSys Information Education Campaign (IEC) and PhilID Advocacy Activity of the Philippine Statistics Authority Region VI last November 7, 2023 at the SEDA Atria Hotel, Iloilo City.

The PSA RO VI briefed the prticipants about the Philippine Identification System focusing on the uses and objectives of the PhilID and PhilSys Number (PSN) which aim to establish a single national identification system to provide valid proof of identity for all Filipino Citizens and Resident Aliens, and to eliminate the need to present other forms of identification when transacting with the government and private agencies.

They also introduced the PhilID Card design, and its security features, gave an overview of the PhilSys Check, and did a live demonstration of their PhilSys Check and authorization services. The last part of the campaign and advocacy activity tackled the various civil service registry services offered by the Philippine Statistics Authority. (Laurente/NEDA6-FAD)
