The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office VI participated in the CY 2022 third quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) via livestreaming on September 8, 2022, spearheaded by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). The ceremonial activity was held at the Ayala Property Management Corporation headquarters in Makati City.
The program commenced at 8:00 A.M. and was followed by the ceremonial pressing of the button at 9:00 A.M. to officially start the 3rd quarter NSED. All NEDA VI employees present in the office took part in the drill by doing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and evacuated the NEDA VI buildings after while observing the public health precautionary measures.
The Fourth Quarter NSED is set on November 11, 2022. NSED is conducted in compliance to RA 10121, also known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 (PDRRM Act of 2010). (jlet/NEDA 6-FAD)
