To increase the awareness of the employees on the benefits, claims, and privileges of being a member of the government workforce, the National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office VI conducted an orientation on the Current Policies, Services, Privileges, and Retirement Packages last August 22, 2022. The subject matter experts (SMEs) for this half-day activity were from the Home Development Mutual Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and the Government Service Insurance System. Engr. Arecio A. Casing, Jr., OIC-Regional Director of the NEDA VI commenced the program with a warm welcome message. He enlightened all young NEDAns of the advantages and benefits associated on being a member of the government workforce. He also encouraged the young professionals to stay, help and serve the government for the successful implementation of the programs and thrusts of the administration.
Updates on HDMF current policies and services were presented by Mr. Mark Ken C. Carmelita, Member Services Officer III of the HDMF. He discussed the benefits and services of HDMF’s various programs such as the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, MP2 Savings, numerous types of Loans, and the Loyalty Card’s perks, discount and rewards. He also featured the Virtual Pag-IBIG, the HDMF’s online facility that allows all their clients to conveniently access the fund services. Also from the HDMF, Ms. Ma. Imelda B. Tadifa, Supervising Marketing Specialist talked about the Acquired Assets Disposal Program. She also discussed the modes of disposal and the policies for the retail and group sales.
On the updates on PhilHealth, Ms. Janimhe C. Jalbuna, Head of Public Relations, discussed the current policies, medical services and packages, the features and programs of the R.A. 11223 known as the “Universal Health Care Act”. She also introduced the PhilHealth Member Portal which can be accessed anytime and anywhere by the members who want to check on the medical packages that they can avail when needed.
For GSIS updates on benefits and claims, Mr. Michael D. Arancillo, Staff Officer I of the GSIS-Iloilo Branch discussed the procedures and presented examples on how to compute the pension upon retirement from the government service. He also apprised the NRO VI employees of the current policies and procedures associated with the loans and retirement packages. Apart from these, he shared some approaches on how to double or even triple the pensions of the retirees. (FTCuaterno/NEDA6)
